DEXA: evaluation of bone density. Used for the evaluation and treatment of osteoporosis and osteopenia. Spirometry. Used in the evaluation of Asthma and COPD

Protime: used for patients who are on the blood thinner warfarin.

Stress test: Used to evaluate patients with chest pain and evaluate for heart disease

Holter Monitor: Used to evaluate and treat patients with arrhythmias

ABI: (ankle brachial index) Used to evaluate and treat patients with peripheral vascular disease

Ambulatory blood pressure monitor: Used to Evaluate and treat patients with elevated blood pressure

Urinalysis: Used to evaluate and treat patients with kidney problems

Urine microalbumin testing: used to evaluate patients with diabetes for early kidney disease.

Echocardiograms: Echocardiograms use ultrasound to assess the heart’s structure and function. An echo is a noninvasive procedure that gives valuable information about the valves and pumping power of the heart.

Carotid Duplex: This ultrasound of the neck evaluates the carotid arteries for plaque buildup that may cause stenosis, or narrowing and blockage, of these vital arteries.

Venous Duplex: Ultrasound is used to evaluate the veins of the upper and lower parts of the leg for the presence of clots.

Arterial Doppler: This non invasive ultrasound test is used to estimate the blood flow through the arteries of the legs.

Abdominal ultrasound: This test is used to look at the liver, gallbladder, pancreas, spleen, and kidneys. It is useful in looking for gallstones, kidney stones, and other pathology that may be causing pain.

Bladder ultrasound: This test evaluates the outer surface of the bladder. It can also evaluate how the bladder holds and excretes urine.

Abdominal Aortic ultrasound: This test looks at the major blood vessel that leaves the heart and comes down the central, anterior of the body.

Thyroid ultrasound: This is used to evaluate the size and makeup of both lobes of the thyroid, often identifying and measuring nodules.

Ultrasound imaging of the pelvis uses sound waves to produce pictures of the structures and organs in the lower abdomen and pelvis. There are three types of pelvic ultrasound: abdominal, vaginal (for women), and rectal (for men). These exams are frequently used to evaluate the reproductive and urinary systems. Ultrasound is safe, noninvasive and does not use ionizing radiation.
